STOP IRAQ ESCALATION

Stay Involved In The Current Actions

Thanks and Thoughts

Many thanks to all those who rode the bus to Washington DC (1/26 - 1/28). It was a strong showing and a strong message to Congress to bring the troops home and end the war in Iraq.

Special thanks to the organizers of the bus, specifically Judith, Jason, and Ann on the splendid organization.

There were many who provided others with moneys for the trip. Thank you for giving others that opportunity.

Check out the GLNAWI Blog for some insights on the March in DC.

Relay for Peace

Before we headed out to DC many of you participated in the Relay for Peace. This was a wonderful effort and about 50 people turned out from Lansing for the visits to Congressional Offices. Our lead runners - Ken, Jen and Erik - ran all the way (at least 5 miles and we had a good program and presentation at each office (Jack, Ann, Judith) and a drumming brigade at the corner of Abbott and Grand River. Thanks to Everyone who worked on and supported this effort.
